SnoreDuo Privacy Policy

SnoreDuo does not collect your data. Not your audio, not a summary of it, not a score, not an identifier. Nothing.

Everything happens on your iPhone. Recording, listening, scoring, playback, corrections, reminders and the purchase check all run on the device in your hand.

Your bedroom audio never leaves your phone — and neither does any number derived from it. That is not a policy we promise to keep; it is the only thing the app can do. These apps contain no networking code at all: no server of ours to call, no third-party service, no analytics or advertising SDK, no account to create, and no identifier to follow you with.

What stays on your iPhone

What we collect

Nothing. There is no account system, no cloud storage, no audio upload, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking identifier in SnoreDuo. Its App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected.” Apple processes App Store purchases under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy; we receive neither your bedroom audio nor any record of your nights.

No released version of any of these apps has ever contained networking code, so nothing about your night — no audio, no score, no derived number, no identifier — has ever been transmitted anywhere. Until July 2026 this page said otherwise: it described a derived, numbers-only summary of the night being sent to a text-generation service under a random identifier. That was a description of a design that was never shipped. It was wrong, it has been removed, and this page now describes what the apps actually do. The App Store privacy label, “Data Not Collected,” is the accurate answer — and it is the reason this correction can be stated so flatly.

Permissions

Microphone access is requested only when you start a night. Notification access is optional and is requested only when you enable a reminder; reminders are scheduled locally on the device. You can change either one at any time in iOS Settings, and the app keeps working without notifications.

Purchases

Premium features are unlocked by a single one-time in-app purchase, and there is nothing to cancel — a one-time purchase does not renew. Apple shows you the exact price before you buy, takes the payment, and tells the app on your device that you own it — the check runs locally and we never see your payment details or your Apple Account. Restore Purchases is in the app and works on your other Apple devices.

These apps are no longer offered on a recurring plan. If you bought a recurring plan for one of them earlier, your access is kept, and that older plan is managed by Apple in your Apple Account settings.

Your control

You can delete a single night, and you can erase everything SnoreDuo has stored, from inside the app. Because there is no server copy, deleting on your iPhone is the whole deletion — there is nothing to request from us and nothing for us to forget. Removing the app also removes its local container, per iOS behaviour.

Children

SnoreDuo is not directed at children and asks for no personal information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Because no data reaches us, a change here can never retroactively expose anything you have already recorded.

Wellness, not medical

SnoreDuo is for wellness awareness between two people, not diagnosis and not medical advice. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. Some snoring will be missed and some room sounds will be counted. If either of you is worried about sleep or breathing, talk to a qualified clinician.
